Co-operatives have significantly contributed to the social and economic upliftment of the nation. Today, 68% of India's population resides in rural areas, and it is widely accepted that co-operative credit institutions are best suited for agricultural financing.

Our agricultural credit structure is three-tiered—at the top is the State Co-operative Bank, at the district level are the District Co-operative Banks, and at the grassroots level (Gram Panchayat and village levels) are the Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) fulfilling the short- and medium-term agricultural credit needs.

Even in this era of globalization, developed countries across the world are facing financial uncertainty and ongoing volatility. Many governments are reducing their expenditures on social and public services, withdrawing from key responsibilities, and creating insecurity among their citizens. In such uncertain times, co-operative societies can offer hope and direction to people globally. Co-operatives ensure long-term financial protection—they are sustainable, inclusive, and successful.

District Co-Operative Bank Bulandshahr stands as a shining example. Since its inception, the bank has consistently remained profitable, reflecting sound financial management and public trust.

The active contribution of District Co-Operative Bank Bulandshahr towards the financial upliftment of landless farmers, rural artisans, small and marginal farmers, and economically weaker sections has been crucial in raising their living standards and supporting rural development.
